2011 Captain's Club
Congratulations to all our members. It is with great pleasure that we post the Motorcycle Ride For Dad Captain’s Club for 2011!
This year we are again posting three versions of the list. The first list contains the names of new members and members that have changed achievement levels only. The second list is entire Club membership, and the third list is the entire Club membership in alphabetical order.
2011 marks the start of our second decade, and what a great start it has been! Your success in raising pledges is even more amazing considering the tough economy these last couple of years. We applaud your efforts and thank you for your continued support in of this worthy cause.
Our club membership has continued to climb, from 1273 in 2010 to an awesome new high of 1641 in 2011! Our members are now responsible, collectively, for over 5.2 million of the dollars donated by the MRFD in the fight against prostate cancer!
We continue to reach new milestones. For the first time a member has achieved the Platinum donation level with an amazing $111,160,congratulations Dennis Jackson! Also for the third year in a row, we have had the honour of introducing a new Triple-Diamond achiever, Michael Castledine at $53,304. There are now eleven Double Diamond recipients, each over $25,000.00 and an incredible fifty-two members now wearing the Diamond pin at more than $10,000.00 each!
Again to everyone, congratulations, wear your pins and patches proudly and keep up the good work. On that note we have created a new Captain’s Club logo that will be available soon in pins patches and decals, so further identify you in the crowd as one of the leaders in the Motorcycle Ride For Dad. I know it has been a long time coming but a catch-up issue of Roadside, the official magazine of the Captain’s Club, is in the works and will be out as soon as possible.
Last year we ran a little late with deliveries because we had the additional task of merging the Ride lists with the Xth Anniversary Tour list, and our efforts to reduce the number of duplications and split identities continues. Thanks to the help of some new vetting software, we are as confident as possible with the accuracy of our lists and so the award packages have started to roll out! Look for yours in the mail soon.
Last year, as a new feature, we posted an alphabetical version of the list in case you had trouble locating your name on the main list. This seemed to be of value so we are doing the same again for 2011.
Thank you again for your support in the fight against Prostate Cancer!
